Role Overview – Production Data & Reporting Coordinator

Are you highly organised, confident working with data and interested in building a career in a manufacturing environment where accuracy really matters? Based at our Manchester site and reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role offers the opportunity to become a key link between Production, Planning and Continuous Improvement, helping our teams make better decisions through accurate SAP transactions, clear reporting and reliable production information.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail, problem-solving and process improvement. You will help strengthen production data discipline, identify and resolve errors, support performance reviews and contribute to practical improvements across our Extrusions and Elektron Finished Parts areas. In return, you will gain valuable exposure to manufacturing operations, SAP, reporting, variance analysis and continuous improvement activity within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in improving the accuracy and reliability of production data across our manufacturing operations.
  • Enter production transaction data into SAP accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Check production data for accuracy, completeness and consistency, identifying errors or missing information before and after SAP entry.
  • Work closely with Production, Planning and Continuous Improvement colleagues to highlight discrepancies and support timely correction.
  • Provide clear reporting on yield loss, production variances and labour variances for RFT meetings, operational reviews and audit activity.
  • Maintain accurate production records, transaction logs and supporting documentation to provide clear audit trails.
  • Prepare and distribute operational reports and performance information that help teams understand performance and drive improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement activity by identifying recurring data issues, process gaps and opportunities to reduce waste.
  • Support the department in raising purchase orders as required.

The Package

  • Full-time, permanent role.
  • 37 hours per week, standard office hours.
  • Salary range £28,000 – £32,000 per annum, plus annual bonus.
  • Generous holiday package.
  • Company pension plan.
  • On-site canteen facilities.
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, including access to confidential support and advice.
  • Training and development opportunities to build skills in SAP, production reporting, variance analysis and continuous improvement within a specialist manufacturing environment.

Requirements – Production Data & Reporting Coordinator

  • At least 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or equivalent, including Maths, English and Science.
  • Level 3 or above qualification in English, Data, Business Administration, Finance, Manufacturing or a similar subject.
  • At least 2 years’ SAP or ERP experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, logistics or administration environment.
  • Intermediate Excel and data handling ability.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and error checking.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify discrepancies and communicate information clearly.
  • A practical, accountable and collaborative approach, with the confidence to work with different teams and follow through on actions.
  • Awareness of LEAN manufacturing, 5S, production support activity or operational reporting would be advantageous, but we are also interested in candidates with the right mindset and willingness to learn.
